Curried Fish (Jamaican style) Ingredients

coconut oil (any oil you have). |

banga mary fish (any fish you have). |

fish sauce (any you have). |

curry powder. |

hot pepper sauce. |

lime juice. |

fish seasoning. |

black pepper. |

meat seasoning. |

plain flour. |
Cooking Guidances
Step 1 |
Chop onion into rings. Crush garlic.. |
Step 2 |
Wash and pound escallion. |
Step 3 |
Dice and wash fish. Glaze with lime juice, black pepper, fish seasoning, hot pepper sauce and fish sauce. Set aside.. |
Step 4 |
Mix coconut milk in lukewarm water in a small cup. Set aside. |
Step 5 |
In a deep frying pan, sauté onions, garlic and escallion on very low flame. |
Step 6 |
Add 3 teaspoon each of fish seasoning, meat seasoning and curry powder to the pan. Add a pinch of black peppercorns. Mix well and keep flame low.. |
Step 7 |
After six minutes, add coconut milk to the pan. Add thyme and two spoons of hot pepper sauce. Mix well and let simmer for fifteen minutes.. |
Step 8 |
Add diced fish with glaze to the pan. Add 1/2 cup water. Mix well. |
Step 9 |
Add salt (to taste). |
Step 10 |
Add 2 teaspoon flour to thicken (optional). |
Step 11 |
Let simmer until cooked. Serve with white rice or cooked yellow yam.. |
