Dried Kpomo. |

2 tablespoon vinegar to help soften the skin. |

1 pinch potash. |

Bell pepper. |

Onions. |

Garlic. |

Mixed spice(African nutmeg,garlic,cayyene). |

Cabbage. |

Cubes Maggi. |

Salt. |

Curry powder. |

Vegetable oil. |

Cooking Instructions
Step 1 |
Wash and soak your dried kpomo for 1 to 2 days,try and change the water 2 to 3 times daily. |
Step 2 |
After soaking remove the dirt by scraping with a knife and wash thoroughly.. |
Step 3 |
Boil water in a pot and add vinegar,potash and the kpomo and cook for 2 hours.You can use a pressure pot to cook faster.. |
Step 4 |
Meanwhile,Wash and grind your bell pepper,ginger and garlic. |
Step 5 |
Then wash,peel and cube your carrrots. |
Step 6 |
Heat vegetable oil in a pot,add paste and cook for some minutes. |
Step 7 |
Then add water,season with salt,spices,and maggi cubes. |
Step 8 |
Allow to boil,then transfer kpomo into the soup and cook until tender.. |
Step 9 |
Then add your carrot and chopped onions and simmer for 2 minutes. |
Step 10 |
Serve. |
