Dried Kpomo sauce Ingredients

1 Dried Kpomo.
2 2 tablespoon vinegar to help soften the skin.
3 1 pinch potash.
4 Bell pepper.
5 Onions.
6 Garlic.
7 Mixed spice(African nutmeg,garlic,cayyene).
8 Cabbage.
9 Cubes Maggi.
10 Salt.
11 Curry powder.
12 Vegetable oil.
13 Water.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1 Wash and soak your dried kpomo for 1 to 2 days,try and change the water 2 to 3 times daily.
Step 2 After soaking remove the dirt by scraping with a knife and wash thoroughly..
Step 3 Boil water in a pot and add vinegar,potash and the kpomo and cook for 2 hours.You can use a pressure pot to cook faster..
Step 4 Meanwhile,Wash and grind your bell pepper,ginger and garlic.
Step 5 Then wash,peel and cube your carrrots.
Step 6 Heat vegetable oil in a pot,add paste and cook for some minutes.
Step 7 Then add water,season with salt,spices,and maggi cubes.
Step 8 Allow to boil,then transfer kpomo into the soup and cook until tender..
Step 9 Then add your carrot and chopped onions and simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 10 Serve.
