Sambar Podi traditional Tanjore recipe Ingredients

1 Coriander seeds.
2 Fenugreek seeds.
3 Black pepper pods.
4 Dry red chillies.
5 Chana dal.
6 Udad dal.
7 Toor dal.
8 Whole Turmeric broken.

Cooking Guidances

Step 1 Dry roast all the ingredients separately till they become crunchy..
Step 2 Cool them and grind to fine powder..
Step 3 Use one to two teaspoon of this Sambar masala if making sambar for 4-5 people..
Step 4 Store in an airtight container with a proper seal. I always keep a small batch in my pantry, for daily use, and keep the rest of it in airtight jar..
