Ingredients

1 Approximately 1/2 of Vegetable(ugu).
2 Approximately of Salt.
3 Take 2 kg of Water leaves.
4 Take 1/2 kg of Ukazi leaves.
5 Approximately 4 of cooking spoon Red oil.
6 About 5 of piecesIjebu pomo.
7 You need 5 pieces of Snails.
8 Prepare 4 pieces of Fresh meat.
9 Take 3 of cooking spoon Crayfish.
10 Approximately 1 of small bulb Onion.
11 About 5 pieces of red pepper.

Afang Soup is of Nigerian origin-a much-celebrated recipe from the efik ethnic group in the southern part of Nigeria -and often served at ceremonial occasions such as weddings. Afang soup; a delight to behold and to eat. It is a special delicacy of the Efik and ibibio tribes of Nigeria. Some parts of Cameroon bordering that part of Nigeria also enjoy this delicacy.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1 Boil the stockfish,cow meat,snails and pomo for 45minutes.boil till no water is in it again..
Step 2 Wash the waterleaves very well and slice.same with other vegetables..
Step 3 Blend the crayfish and fresh pepper..
Step 4 Heat up the red oil,slice onion and pour in.fry for 2minutes..
Step 5 Pour in the water leaves and fry.fry for 15minutes with continuous stirring..
Step 6 Pour the boiled meat,stockfish,cow meat,snail and pomo..
Step 7 Stir and pour in the crayfish and fresh pepper allow it to fry for 15minutes..
Step 8 Pound the uziza leaves for 2minutes and pour in inside the soup stir and boil for 3minutes..
Step 9 Finally pour in the vegetable(ugu) and stir and turn off the heat..

Afang soup is a blended vegetable based soup prepared from a leaf called Afang with water leaves. "Afang soup" is the name given to this delicious dish by the Efiks and Ibibios, "Okazi soup". Afang soup is a vegetable sauce highly rated by many Nigerians. Traditionally, a delicious sauce popular in eastern Nigeria.
